Weaver's Towing & Recovery
Typical days don’t happen in this industry. We never know what a day holds. In October of 2022, we got called to a scene involving multiple vehicles and several trailers. In the end, every truck we owned was at the scene of that crash.
We have four children and one granddaughter. Julia & Phil and Kenzi live in Wolmelsdorf. Janita & Noah live in Stevens, she occasionally drives rollback for us. Janessa & Steve live in Myerstown. Steve does some of our long-run truck swaps. Javen helps with towing, truck repairs, and washing trucks. He is always willing to assist with recoveries.
It’s always a good time when we get together. On Sunday afternoons, we enjoy biking on the rail trail near our house.
Founding
Norman & Violetta Weaver started Weaver’s Garage on their farm in Lititz.
Passing It On
Daryl & Kim Weaver (Norman's youngest son) bought Weaver's Garage.
A New Face
Galen Weaver (cousin to Daryl) started working at Weaver's Garage in February as a mechanic. In June, we got married and lived in half of the house beside the garage. Which made it easy for him to be on call for towing evenings and weekends. After several years, Galen started working in the office. Eventually becoming shop manager during business hours, and continuing to do the towing nights and weekends.
A New Company
The Towing & Recovery name was formed, and continued as part of Weaver's Garage.
An Experienced Owner
Galen & Jane Weaver bought Weaver's Towing & Recovery. We maintain an office at Weaver's Garage and use the impound lot there. We have several drivers that help out as needed. Galen does a majority of the towing and paperwork. Jane helps with invoices and is on call when a second truck is needed at accident scenes.
